About

Hello, there!

Thank you for visiting today!

I am a mom, wife, novelist, teacher, and spiritual enthusiast. I am also a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). If you are curious what HSP is all about, take a look here.

I think life can get pretty crazy at times, in fact it can be very painful at times. For me, trying to find a balance in all that craziness is sometimes a day-to-day struggle. So in my attempt to find clarity and to be in the moment with all the muddiness, I started this blog: [MZ] Monday Zen. It’s an inspirational blog about life, my crazy—love/hate—relationship with writing, and life celebrations, however small. I hope you’ll join me in my journey.

Please stop by again soon.

  1. Hello Jinhee – It’s nice to meet you. I also love the smell of coffee (anytime of day) and there’s nothing as wonderful as that first cup in the morning. You have an interesting range of topics and I’m interested in many of them. I’ll admit I’m not a Star Wars fan (at all) but I do Know Lee Child (my husband reads everything by him that he can get his hands on). I’m more the women’s fiction type. I’m looking forward to reading your blog.

    • Hi, Sheri! Thanks for stopping by. I must admit I love being in Jack Reacher’s head and see him interact with the other charcter in the book – can’t get enough. I’m looking foward to following your blog as well.

  2. Hi Jinhee. We have a lot in common. Love the smell of coffee, at any time really and I adore spicy food! I admire you writing in your second language. What a challenge! I met Lee Child a few summers ago. Nicest man! I look forward to reading your blog. 🙂

  3. Jinhee, your home page (besides being lovely, it really fits what your write.) and blog look great. I have to say I LOVE the smell of coffee but don’t drink it. Tea is my thing. I understand your Star Trek: Next Generation addiction, mine is NCIS. I can probably repeat the dialogue word for word.

    • thank you! I enjoy green tea, mainly from Korea or Japan. I am now addicted to Dr. Who. I treat myself to an episode or two when I get my work done for the day. LOVE NCIS we well – my hubs and I watch it.

  4. Hi Jinhee! I love your blog. I came across your post on Tiny Buddha about unhealthy friendships from a google search and I found it very enlightening. I’m a journalism student from Toronto and I was wondering if I could chat with you for an article I’m writing for class about why we hang onto unhealthy friendships too often. It would only take about 10-15 minutes and I would be more than willing to work around your schedule. Thanks for your time!
